Despite high gas prices, AAA estimates nearly 48 million Americans will travel at least 50 miles over the Fourth of July weekend with a record number of people traveling by car, and a lot of them on the West Virginia Turnpike. Between now and July 10th is typically when the Parkways Authority sees the most toll booth activity. The busiest time will be between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. today.
