Fall Foliage Map Offers Peak Color Predictions

The West Virginia Department of Tourism has released a fall foliage map that highlights the times and places to expect peak autumn colors. According to the map, most West Virginians in the region can expect to see the leaves change in the second half of October, but weather can alter those projections. Those in Central to Northeastern West Virginia will see the leaves turn first, likely in late September, and leaves are expected to turn the latest in the southwestern part of the state.
