The state Auditor’s Office, West Virginia State Police, and the Mason County Sheriff’s Office searched the former Henderson town Hall. Investigators are looking into any potential misconduct by former town officials. The town of Henderson was recently dissolved by the Mason County Commission for failing to submit a budget to the state Auditor’s Office for two consecutive years, and failing to enact municipal ordinances.
