Investigation Launched After Body is Found in Cross Lanes Freezer

Investigators released new information this week about a body that was found on Friday in Cross Lanes. Detectives with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said the body was found in a freezer after a well-being check at a home in the 5000 block of Saulton Drive. Eyewitness News reporter Leslie Rubin reported the identity of the person found in the freezer has not been confirmed and the cause of death is currently under investigation. Neighbors in the area said the body found was that of a woman in her 70s but detectives would not confirm that information. The body was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Charleston to determine a cause of death.
