Several paving projects in the region have been awarded by the West Virginia Division of Highways. The projects span Jackson, Nicholas, Kanawha, Calhoun and Logan counties, according to a news release from the WVDOH. West Virginia Paving Inc. was the low bidder on paving projects in Ravenswood in Jackson County and on Webster Road in Nicholas County. Mountaineer Contractors Inc. was the low bidder on a project to pave Corridor G between the Davis Creek and Oakwood Road exits in Kanawha County. The paving projects were awarded from a bid letting held Tuesday, July 12, and are part of an aggressive summer paving campaign being conducted by the WVDOH.
