Need is Great for Teen Foster Families

There’s a growing need for foster care as students head back to school. According to West Virginia Department of Heath & Human Resources 6,597 West Virginia children are currently in foster care with nearly 30% being the ages of 13-17. Foster famiilies tend to seek fostering babies, but teens in the system represent the category of biggest need. West Virginia remains the number one state for children in foster care.
