Senator Joe Manchin is defending the work being done in Congress to curb inflation. He was on NBC’s Meet the Press, and said the Inflation Reduction Act would take some pressure off the U.S. economy. Manchin also said the bill won’t increase taxes for the American people. Instead, he says it closes a loophole for companies worth a billion-dollars or more by requiring them to pay a minimum 15-percent corporate tax. Manchin calls inflation a serious problem, adding we must defeat it.
