State School Board Appoints a New Superintendent

The West Virginia Board of Education approved a request by the state’ssuperintendent of schools to switch jobs and appointed a new leader on Wednesday. The school board voted to approve a request by W. Clayton Burch to switch to a position as superintendent of the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, and voted to select current School Building Authority Director David Roach as the state’s new superintendent of schools. He is the state’s 33rd superintendent.
