TSA Agents Locate a Loaded Handgun at Yeager Airport

A Mingo County man was cited after a loaded gun was found in his carry-on bag at West Virginia International Yeager Airport. Transportation Security Administration officers were looking at an X-ray machine spotted a .380-caliber handgun loaded with five bullets in the man’s carry-on bag Monday. Airport police confiscated the gun and cited the man who is from Delbarton. This is the second gun found at the airport checkpoint this year. Three were found in 2021 and four in 2020. Civil penalties for bringing a handgun into a checkpoint can amount to thousands of dollars.
