West Virginia Law Enforcement Officers Help Flooded Kentucky Departments

Law enforcement agencies in West Virginia are donating retired vehicles to the Whitesburg Police Department in Kentucky. Officers there lost at least seven cruisers to devastating flooding last week, according to a social media post from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. Boone County deputies delivered a cruiser to officers in Whitesburg on Tuesday while the Hurricane Police Department delivered a vehicle on Sunday. Deputies in Boone County are also collecting cleaning supplies for Kentucky flood victims and you can drop off supplies at the sheriff’s office on the second floor of the Madison Municipal Courthouse. The City of Hurricane will also collecting donations of water and cleaning supplies, according to a social media post from Mayor Scott Edwards. Donations may be dropped off at the Hurricane Fire Department Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
