Leon Man is Honored for Years of Maritime Service

City officials formally recognized a West Virginian with a lifetime achievement award Saturday at the Point Pleasant Tribute to the River Festival. Terry Buck, of Leon received the award following a career that spanned more than four decades of service in the maritime industry. Buck began his career as a deckhand in 1976 at G&C Towing in Henderson and later transitioned to Kanawha River Towing before working for American Electric Power River Transportation as a pilot. Buck retired as a captain with AEP after 24 years with the company and 44 years of maritime service.
