Fayette and Kanawha county health officials are warning residents with hand dug wells along Paint Creek to not drink the water after a recent chemical spill. A crash on the Turnpike last week spilled chemicals into the creek that may have contaminated ground water. Properly constructed, permitted wells are not included in the warning.
