A West Virginia State Police trooper has been arrested. 39-year old Joseph Comer of Ravenswood has been charged with domestic battery and strangulation, according to a news release from West Virginia State Police. The news release said Comer turned himself in and was arraigned in Jackson County Magistrate Court. On Dec. 5 Comer allegedly grabbed a woman around her neck during a scheduled child custody exchange. It happened in the gravel parking lot of the Sleep Inn in Ellenboro, and another incident was reported Dec. 12 in the same place. The alleged victim is also a trooper and shares a child with Comer.
