A Charleston Catholic High School teacher has been suspended from the classroom after being charged in a prostitution investigation by Charleston police.
Robert Pennington is charged with soliciting for prostitution, according to documents filed in Charleston Municipal Court. A detective said he posted an advertisement on “Skip the Games,” a website used to market prostitution services, and posed as a prostitute. Pennington responded and arranged a time to meet, and deputies said he seemed to be in an impaired state when he arrived. Detectives said he admitted trying to solicit a prostitute. Charleston Catholic High School released a statement saying Pennington has been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
