The families of inmates who died at the Southern Regional Jail gathered for a rally outside the state Capitol demanding justice for their loved ones. More than a dozen inmates died at the jail last year. The protest was organized by the West Virginia Poor People’s Campaign. The group has formally requested a federal civil rights investigation. Another death at the Southern Regional Jail was confirmed this week.
