Girl Scout Cookies arrive for the season

The Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council received thousands of boxes of Girl Scout cookies to distribute through the Kanawha, Mason, Clay, Cabell, Wayne, Lincoln, Mingo, Putnam and Logan counties areas. The group said in a news release that a total of 144,552 boxes of Samoas, Tagalongs, Thin Mints, Trefoils, Do-si-dos, Girl Scout S’mores, Toffee- and Lemon-Ups were delivered late last week. Proceeds from cookie sales stay local and have led to support for animal shelters, food banks and more, while teaching girls crucial skills like goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. To find a cookie booth near you, use the cookie locater on the Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council website.
