Ripley Police warn “no-shows” to take care of court fines

Ripley police are warning those who don’t show up in city court or people who owe fines. If they ignore the process they’ll have their names released publicly. The Ripley Police Department said in a Facebook post it was taking action due to the high rate of no-shows in city court. An amnesty period to answer and pay fines will last until April 30 and then they’ll print those names in the local newspaper and social media outlets. Police said once the names are printed, warrants will be issued for failure to appear.
