A Kanawha County grocery store has reopened under new management after a devastating fire closed its doors last year. Cook’s Nitro Market welcomed its first customers on Monday morning at the store at 2501 First Avenue. The new owner is Vanessa Cook and took over after Nitro Supermarket caught fire in August. The store had been the city’s only option for groceries.
