Two crashes within days of each other highlight safety concerns on the Turnpike

A second crash within a few days on the West Virginia Turnpike has some neighbors concerned. A crash involving a tractor-trailer happened late last week, and there was another one Monday morning near the northbound 93-mile marker of Interstate 77. Eyewitness News said those who live in the area are asking for the Department of Highways to either drop the speed limit in the area or install warning signs with flashing lights well before the road curves to alert drivers. Parkways Authority Director Jeff Miller says a safety review will be done, just like any other incident. Miller says both crashes appear to be attributed to speed and weather.
