A Kanawha County man was charged after deputies said he struck a woman with a metal pipe and brandished a gun. Fred Hammon Jr. of Cross Lanes is accused of hitting the woman in the hand with a metal pipe and showing the gun at both her and her child. The woman also told deputies Hammon was also in possession of a stolen side-by-side and deputies confirmed that. Hammon is currently being held on a $25,000 cash only bond.
