A man charged in an Interstate 64 pursuit that reached speeds of 130 miles per hour was driving a rental vehicle and drove through closed construction lanes, according to court records. Nathaniel Scott is accused of driving a rental car when he fled from a traffic stop in Putnam County and led officers on a chase on I-64 that ended in a crash in Kanawha County. Officers initially stopped Scott on U.S. 35 for allegedly going 80 mph in a 65 mph zone, but he drove off from the scene. Scott is also accused of weaving in and out of traffic before crashing while attempting to exit the interstate at Cross Lanes.
