A man charged in a pursuit and standoff Monday was wanted for violating a domestic violence protection order. Court records show that Nathan Cunningham of Dunbar had arrest warrants issued after officers said he violated a protective order on June 23 when he messaged a woman 79 times. When the woman called 911 Monday to report that Cunningham was following her in her vehicle, officers attempted to stop him in South Charleston but he fled. The pursuit went on and off of Interstate 64 and stopped in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue where Cunningham ran into a home and barricaded himself for more than an hour before he was taken into custody.
