A new baseball stadium is under construction for the Marshall Thundering Herd. New coach Greg Beals arrived in January, and he told the Gazette-Mail that having a stadium will help him fuel the things he wants to instill in the culture. The university received a gift of more than $14 million from the state of West Virginia to help start construction, and the team is scheduled to start playing home games there in 2024. Construction is expected to be completed by January.
