Two face charges after dogs are found severely malnourished

Two men were charged after deputies said they found several malnourished dogs at a home in Mingo County. Joey Lester and Billie Coleman, both of Baisden, are each charged with five counts of animal cruelty after an investigation on Sunday, according to a criminal complaint filed in Mingo County Magistrate Court. Deputies said the dogs had no shelter, no food and no water, and their ribs and bones were visible. Deputies got food for the dogs and fed them, and they’re under the proper care now.
