A popular restaurant in the Campbells Creek area of Kanawha County may open soon. Dairy Winkle owner Kerry “Paco” Ellison hoped to have the restaurant reopened earlier this month after a fire nearly destroyed it in 2022, but the date has been pushed back slightly. The community has rallied behind the restaurant with more than $50,000 in donations and additional material. Eyewitness News said there’s a new roof and drywall that will go up this weekend. Ellison said he now hopes to have Dairy Winkle open by the end of summer.
