A man has been charged in connection with a deadly stabbing Sunday evening in Boone County. The incident was reported about 5 p.m. along Camp Creek Road, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. 60-year old James Edward Pugh III of Camp Creek is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Lodis J. Lafferty. Deputies said they found Lafferty with at least one stab wound when they arrived and attempted life-saving measures on him, but he died shortly after.
