Grant money to help with drug treatment programs

State officials announced this week that $2.6 million in grant money has been allocated for projects across West Virginia allowing for the continued operation of treatment supervision programs. Thirteen projects have been named by the Governor’s Office, including several in southern West Virginia. The Logan County Commission is set to receive more than $109,000 for treatment supervision programs in Logan, Boone, Lincoln and Mingo counties. The Recovery Group of Southern West Virginia will use more than $250,000 for programs in Logan, Boone, Cabell, Clay, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, Mingo, Putnam and Wayne counties. Recovery Point of Huntington will receive more than $976,000 for treatment centers in Kanawha and Mercer Counties.
