Putnam County Commissioners have named an interim prosecutor. Thomas Kirk will fill that role for 30 days starting August 1st. He currently works for the Department of Homeland Security. He’ll replace longtime prosecutor Mark Sorsaia. Commissioners will choose a permanent replacement for Sorsaia who will fill the remainder of the term, which would have been up at the end of next year.
