West Virginia University is recommending cuts to both undergraduate and graduate programs that would cut thirty-two majors and eliminate nearly 170 faculty positions. Officials call it a repositioning of the university to compensate for a changing higher education landscape that includes deicing enrollment. The university announced earlier this year it was reviewing possible areas for reduction due to a $45 million deficit.
