Workers at the Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter had asked for help to find a woman accused of stealing a dog from the shelter that had recently been adopted. A woman walked through the shelter looking at the animals Tuesday afternoon and said she had completed a volunteer waiver and asked if she could walk Alfie. Instead, she put him in her car and took off. Alfie had just been groomed and was waiting for his new owner to pick him up, when he was taken. Alfie was later found safe and was reunited with his newly adopted owner.
