Gov. Jim Justice announced the appointment of Mike Honaker as Inspector General of the West Virginia Department of Homeland Security. Honaker served in the U.S. Marine Corps before a 28-year career as a West Virginia State Trooper where he served as a trooper, sergeant, first sergeant, lieutenant and special agent. The Office of the Inspector General in the West Virginia Department of Homeland Security was created during the 2023 Legislative Session.
