The University of Charleston sent students, faculty, and staff into the community on Labor Day to perform a range of service projects. UC said on its website that nearly 40 service activities happened throughout Charleston and the Kanawha Valley, and students, faculty, and staff from Charleston, Beckley, and UC’s virtual campus got involved. Groups did things like packing food and hygiene bags, while others painted playground equipment in Charleston parks and helped with beautification projects.
