New bridge section has been installed as part of the I-64 project

The West Virginia Department of Transportation this week noted that a main part of the new I-64 bridge between Nitro and St. Albans has been put into place. The major section was hoisted into place on Wednesday, and will serve as a major part of the bridge that will eventually carry westbound traffic across the Kanawha River. The new bridge will replace the Donald M. Legg Memorial Bridge, which was torn down last year.
