Two Beckley police officers were involved in a shooting Friday night along Klaus Street that left one man dead and another injured. One officer was struck by a vehicle, but was treated and released from a local hospital with minor injuries, according to a news release from the Beckley Police Department. The news release said both involved officers have been placed on administrative leave, pending an investigation by the West Virginia State Police as well as an independent investigation by the department.
