A Putnam County woman was arrested last week for dumping and killing cats. Jada McCallister, of Hurricane, was caught dumping a mother cat and three kittens, before attempting to run them over and succeeding with two, according to Putnam County Chief Humane Officer Jon Rutherford. The mother cat and the third kitten survived the incident and will soon be up for adoption. Rutherford said that McCallister is facing six counts of animal cruelty charges and she is out on a $6,000 bond.
