An Ohio man has been charged after deputies said he shot his mother at a Logan County nursing home Monday. 44-year old James Steed Biddell is charged with attempted murder, malicious wounding and wanton endangerment, according to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Biddell showed up at the Trinity Healthcare Nursing Home in Henlawson and shot his mother, Tomalene Green, in the chest before fleeing the scene. Biddell was stopped along U.S. 119 near the Chapmanville exit where he was taken into custody. Greene was flown to a Charleston area hospital where she was in stable condition.
