Work begins on Cabell County’s new career center

Construction got underway this week on a new career center for Cabell County Schools. The Woody Williams Center for Advanced Learning and Careers will be located at the former Sears store at the Huntington Mall. There will be space for 16 different programs to help up to 500 students get ready for the workforce. Students from schools across Cabell County will get hands-on experience in carpentry, graphic design, public safety and culinary arts. The new center will be completed by the end of 2025.
