A Greenbrier County man was charged in connection with the overdose death of a person in Fayette County. 42-year old Michael Gray of Rainelle is charged with death resulting from failure to render aid while engaging in the illegal use of controlled substances, according to a news release from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said they responded to an overdose on Oct. 15 in the Lookout area where a person ultimately died. Through the investigation, deputies were able to locate Gray and interview him. Deputies said Gray admitted to using narcotics with the person, but insisted they were still alive when he left. Gray is currently being held in Southern Regional Jail.
