A woman was killed after she was struck by a vehicle while checking for damage from a prior incident Monday in Boone County. The incident was reported about 8:15 p.m. on U.S. 119 at Hopkins Road near Danville, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the woman originally struck a deer and while her car was still in the roadway, it was struck by a second vehicle. When she got out to check the damage, deputies said the woman was struck by a third vehicle. She died at the hospital.
