Kanawha County Circuit Court judges are now allowed to carry a gun within the judicial annex. Chief Circuit Court Judge Tera Salango entered the order on Wednesday, making the change. Before the order was entered, possession of firearms and other weapons within the Kanawha County Judicial Annex were limited to law enforcement officers. There are currently seven circuit court judges that make up Kanawha County’s 13th judicial circuit. An 8th circuit court judge will be added next year due to new legislation.
