An amended version of a bill that would allow lawmakers to privately question officials within the newly-formed agencies that used to make up the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources passed through committee and will head to the House floor next. The DHHR, which has now been divided up into the Department of Health, the Department of Human Services and the Department of Health Facilities every month must report to the Legislative Oversight Commission on Health and Human Resources Accountability, known as LOCCHRA. The new bill would give that board the ability to take the agencies’ leaders into executive session to discuss sensitive and private case information.
