A Florida man who had a Huntington woman’s body in his trunk while leading police on a chase in Kentucky was sentenced to prison Monday. David Reed, of St. Petersburg, Florida, pleaded no contest to charges of second-degree murder, abuse of a corpse and robbery and was sentenced to 70 years in prison. Troopers said Reed led them on a chase on Interstate 75 in Kentucky and they found the body of Rachel Carder of Huntington, inside a plastic tote in the back of the car.Reed will be eligible for parole after 17.5 years in prison.
