25-year old Shane Lee Dolin of White Sulphur Springs is charged with child abuse causing death in connection with an incident dating back to September, according to a news release from the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were initially called to a home in White Sulphur Springs for an unresponsive 2-month-old child on Sept. 3, 2023, who was then flown to an out-of-state hospital. The child died two days later. Hospital workers told investigators there was evidence — including bruising behind the infant’s eyes — consistent with that of a shaken baby.
