EMS levy to be included on May ballot in Wayne County

Voters in Wayne County will decide soon on ambulance coverage. The Wayne County Commission approved putting a public service levy on the May ballot that would pay for two ambulances that would be staffed around the clock. The average cost to a Wayne County homeowner would be around $100 per year, depending on the value of the home. The levy already funds fire departments, libraries, and the health department, and if approved, it would also fund EMS.
