FEMA reps are in town to help with flood recovery

FEMA officials are starting to trickle in after a federal disaster declaration was announced last week for Kanahwa, Harrison, Boone, Clay and Calhoun counties for the August 2023 floods. Now registration is open for people to register online for FEMA assistance. FEMA officials encourage people to start collecting the documentation and pictures of everything they have spent in the last six months on recovery and everything they still have to do. FEMA officials are already starting to make the rounds to do inspections for people who have already registered and continue working on getting people signed up. People can apply for FEMA assistance online at disasterassistance.gov, call FEMA at 1-800-621-3362 or download the FEMA app.
