St. Albans police make an arrest after theft spree

A man is behind bars accused of stealing items from vehicles over the span over several days. St. Albans police said officers received multiple reports on January 30th and January 31st that a man had ransacked several vehicles in the Riverlake area and stole items. Officers also said they responded to two calls on February 1st in the same area. A side-by-side, a bicycle and other items were taken. St. Albans police officers said officers, Kanawha County deputies and members of the Metro Drug Unit canvassed the Riverlake area and located the stolen side-by-side. They said they also found man riding the stolen bicycle. Other evidence was found at an apartment on Shadyside Road. Rickey Lee Gibson Jr. had outstanding warrants and was found there hiding under a bed.
