Two face charges for stealing from a Roane County telecommunications company

Two people have been charged in connection with a theft investigation in Roane County. Kelly Lantz of Elkview and Brian Thompson of Cross Lanes are accused of breaking into the Roane County Telecommunication Center in Amma on Friday where a vehicle was stolen, according to a news release from West Virginia State Police. Troopers said about $100,000 worth of property that was stolen from the telecommunication center was returned to the company. The vehicle was quickly located after it became stuck in the mud on an ATV trail, and Lantz and Thompson fled, but were arrested the following day.
