West Virginia VOAD has announced that Executive Director Jenny Gannaway has retired. In an statement posted on WV VOAD’s Facebook page the organization said Gannaway is retiring to spend more time with her family and that they thank her for her leadership. There have been questions over several reports about spending and funding related to the emergency relief organization. Eyewitness News reported that Gannaway was questioned by state senators earlier this year over possible wrong-doing where employees within WV VOAD would give donations to the organizations in order to take items that were donated. A major national non-profit organization, Good 360, cut ties with WV VOAD. The organization says with Gannaway’s retirement, they’ll be forming a transition team in the weeks ahead.
