A Wayne County nurse is facing three counts of abuse or neglect of an incapacitated adult after being accused of failing to give nursing home residents medication. Jamie Lucas was arrested on the charges after a fellow employee at Wayne Continuous Care and Nursing Home contacted police to say Lucas failed to distribute daily medications to the residents while he worked there. A complaint filed with the Wayne County Magistrate said that included both daily supplements, like vitamins, and prescribed treatment medication. Lucas was terminated after daily logs and inventory sheets were compared, revealing medications were not properly distributed.
