The Kanawha County School Board decided to eliminated ten positions after holding two personnel hearings on Monday. The purpose of the hearings was to determine whether or not certain Chandler Academy positions would be eliminated. The board ultimately voted to eliminate seven full time teacher positions at Chandler Academy plus two 1-year positions that would have ended at the end of the school year. The board also voted to eliminate the position of assistant principal at the academy.
